  Selecting the right film gauge is crucial to maximum cost-effectiveness in stretch film usage. Choosing too light a film gauge means over-wrapping and waste while selecting a gauge that is too heavy means unnecessarily higher film costs.

Lantech Pallet Grip -Technology Means Secure Loads Without Over-Wrapping

Millions of loads slide off their pallets each year during shipment. The losses and waste from this cause add up to billions of dollars each year. Lantech’s Pallet Grip – is a key feature of Lantech’s money-saving LeanWrap – technology, and is available on new Lantech stretch wrapping equipment and can be retrofitted to many existing Lantech stretch wrapping systems.

The Pallet Grip – system rolls 4”-6” of film into a high strength durable cable, which overlaps the pallet by about 1.5”, securing the wrapped load from sliding off the pallet. This cable clears forklift openings, and won’t break on the corners of the pallet. The rest of the load is wrapped normally. With slippage prevented, losses are reduced and costly over-wrapping is avoided. The result is reliable, cost-effective stretch wrapping that assures load stability and helps prevent losses due to slippage.

Hand Stretch Wrapping Savings with Sigma Supreme & ecoSupreme Films

With the lowest case cost, ultra-light weight and high load holding strength, Sigma’s Supreme and ecoSupreme films are Sigma’s newest premium grade stretch films for hand wrapping. Made with special orientation that produces stronger films at thinner gauges, these ultra-light weight rolls also make both Sigma films easier to handle.
