5940G LCIJ Wax Printing

The all-new 5940G is a sustainable marking and coding solution that sets the standard of coding quality, compliance, operational efficiency and total cost of ownership.

The 5940G uses piezo inkjet drop-on-demand technology to boost production throughput while enabling manufacturers to improve their supply chain management through traceability and brand protection.

Using Touch Dry^® non-toxic wax-based inks (similar to crayons), the 5940G allows you to print on corrugated boxes/cases GS-1 compliant barcodes, high resolution text and graphics on corrugated cases, trays and films.

With an IP54 rated controller, the 5940G performs well in tough environments where dust and high temperatures are a concern.

2200 eTouch-S^® Print and Apply

The new 2200 print and apply system with eTouchS® applicator uses award-winning technology to increase your line efficiency.

The 2200 takes print and apply to the next stage of evolution, giving you a wide range of interchangeable applicators, optimized operational intervention and unparalleled application rates.

And with the new eTouchS^® intelligent electrically operated applicator, no plant air is required.

The 2200 can print thermal transfer or direct thermal at a maximum print speed of 300mm per second.

The eTouchS® intelligent applicator uses artificial intelligence to prevent labeling errors, protect products, increase uptime, and to dramatically increase operator safety.

Markem-Imaje’s label rolls are longer and are matched in length with genuine M-I ribbons. This means that the label roll and ribbon run out at the same time. A experienced operator can replace both in less than a minute.

The SmartLase^® series of laser coders put affordable high-quality permanent coding within reach.

Rugged, safe, easy to install and virtually maintenance free, the SmartLase® C-series CO₂ laser coders deliver superb code quality on PET bottles, glass, flexible films, inked paper/carton, coated metals and more.

They easily meets the demand for for high-speed applications, even with increasing code complexity of 1D and 2D codes, and does it all in an easy-to-integrate and easy-to-operate industrial grade unit.

Laser codes are permanent providing indelible marks that protect against counterfeiting.

Applications

Beverages Coding

Our SmartLase laser coders are available in four different wavelengths to meet variable needs regarding permanency. Alternatively, our continuous inkjet printers, thermal inkjet, and large character inkjet coders can also be used to code on plastic containers and caps, depending on your needs.

Flexible Films

Markem-Imaje provides four digital options for coding on flexible film—thermal transfer, continuous inkjet, thermal inkjet, and laser—each of which provides unique sets of advantages, ensuring you can choose the option that best suits your coding needs.

Corrugated Cases

The 5000 series of Touch Dry high-resolution inkjet printers with Intelli’Wax printheads rapidly fill and jet Touch Dry inks, which solidify on contact and do not blur codes by spreading through corrugate fibers.

Cable & Wire

Our continuous inkjet and laser solutions are specially designed for the wire and cable industry. Fast with high code visibility and contrast, they also deliver superior fluid, rubbing and twisting resistance, which improves the product’s long-term traceability, safety, and compliance.

Food

For printing directly on food, we offer a line of continuous inkjet inks together with a line of wax-based, edible hot-melt inks that are FDA, EU, and kosher compliant. For incidental food contact with packaging, a line of inks is also available.

Paperboard Cartons

Printing on paperboard is an ideal way to convey information and build your brand. Depending on the speed of your production line, the size, and the format of your packaging, we provide specialized inks that meet drying speed and smear-resistance requirements.

Square Container – Layflat Bag

Measure the width, depth and height of the container to be lined. The depth should be the shorter side.
To determine the Width(W) of the bag, add the width and depth. Add 2″ for a looser fit.
The Length (L) of the bag is determined by adding the depth to the height of the box plus 6″ to allow coverage of the box contents.

Example
If the container size is 14″(wide) X 10″(deep) X 32″(high), the bag dimensions are as follows: Width(W) is 26″, Length(L) is 48″.

Square Container – Gusseted Bag

Measure the width, depth and height of the container to be lined. The depth should be the shorter side.
To determine the Width(W) of the bag, add 1″ to the width of the box.
To determine the Depth(D) of the bag, add 1″ to the depth of the box.
The Length (L) of the bag is determined by adding the depth to the height of the box plus 6″ to allow coverage of the box contents.
Example
If the container size is 18″(wide) X 12″(deep) X 14″(high), the bag dimensions are as follows: Width(W) is 19″, Depth(D) is 13″, Length(L) is 32″.

Round Container – Layflat Bag

Measure the diameter and height of the container to be lined.
To determine the Circumference(C) of the container, multiply the diameter by 3.14
To determine the Width(W) of the bag, divide the circumference(C) by 2. Add 1″ for a looser fit.
To determine the Length (L) of the bag, add the diameter to the height. Add 5″ for overhang.

Example
If the container size is 12″(diameter) X 30″(height), the bag dimensions are as follows: Width(W) is 20″, Length(L) is 47″.

Pallet Cover – Gusseted Bag

Measure the width, depth and height of the pallet to be covered. The depth should be the shorter side.
To determine the Width(W) of the cover, add 1-2″ to the width of the pallet.
To determine the Depth(D) of the cover, add 1-2″ to the depth of the pallet.
The Length (L) of the cover is determined by adding 1/2 the depth to the height.

Example
If the pallet size is 40″(wide) X 36″(deep) X 50″(high), the cover dimensions are as follows: Width(W) is 42″, Depth(D) is 38″, Length(L) is 68″.
